1st day in sch in the year 2007

i'm working part-time @ Del-care now located at Fuji Xerox in the CBD,

today is the children first day of the year,

everything seems like a mess,

I'm constantly moving from 1 classroom to another,

from N1(P) to N1(L) then finally back to K1...

every1 is adjusting to the schedule,

I was taking care of a new boy name Nicholes,

he was alright initially but after realizing his parents are not around,

he started to cry for about 45min on and off,

my ears are really hurting (cos I'm carrying him; he's not light, k?)

i've tried everything to draw his attention to the environment

but after like 2-3 minutes, he will cry loudly again...

so i put him down and told him not to cry then i'll come and carry him again,

at times, he was standing by himself (still crying) and

open his arms and signaling "I want to be carried!"

at that point of time, i really want to laugh...(dunno y also)

however, i was patient enough to comfort him



and finally took his pacifier and placed into his mouth,



he then stopped his crying and sat quietly on my lap;



watching the rest of the children playing the gym room...[the next 5mins]

then his mother came into the room

all of a sudden, i was reminded of myself being the crying boy

being in the new environment & yet with assurancing
